Golden State Brackets exists because the bracket challenge I wanted didn't exist yet.
I'm Vishal Saboo. I spend my days as a product leader, building AI and enterprise software used by millions of people. But I started out as an engineer, and I still build things myself on nights and weekends. This is one of them.
Every Slam, my friends and I would call our upsets and talk up our dark horses in the group chat. The trouble was that nobody ever wrote it down, so all the big talk had no scoreboard. Golden State Brackets is the scoreboard.
The big sports sites drop everyone into one giant pool with millions of strangers in it. But beating someone ranked forty-thousandth means nothing. Beating the friend who won't stop texting you about his picks means everything. So GSB is built around private groups: start one, send your people a link, and settle it among the only opponents worth beating.
It began with tennis, but a bracket doesn't much care what sport it's wrapped around. The 2026 World Cup is already running on GSB, and March Madness, the Euros, and whatever your local league plays on the weekend all work the same way. The goal is one place to run a bracket challenge for any tournament you actually follow.
