THE SHORT VERSION
We collect the bare minimum to run Golden State Brackets. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't share your information with third parties. If you delete your account, we delete your data.
01 What we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive and store:
Display name — shown on leaderboards and in groups.
Email address — used as your account identifier.
Profile photo URL — shown next to your name in the app.
We neverreceive or store your Google password. Authentication is handled entirely by Google's OAuth 2.0 service.
02 What we generate
As you use the app, we store:
Bracket predictions — your picks for each tournament.
Scores and rankings — calculated from your predictions vs. actual results.
Group memberships — which groups you belong to.
This data exists solely to power the bracket challenge experience.
03What we don't do
We don't sell your data to anyone.
We don't serve ads.
We don't share your information with third parties for marketing.

04Analytics & cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
We use cookies for two purposes: keeping you signed in, and anonymous analytics. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
05 Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted on trusted cloud infrastructure, and served over HTTPS. Database access is restricted to the application layer only.
